Cannabis Cocktails & Reception

It's a great time to consider a herb reception bar, see link below on state cannabis status.  33 states currently have some form of medical marijuana law, 12 have legalized recreational use. Know how much THC is in your edible. First decide how much you want consumed and if you're have guests new to edibles. Five to ten milligrams is considered low, a good starting point.

What is CBD?

Short for cannabidiol - a plant compound found in many nutritious vegetables including kale, broccoli and echinacea. It is most abundant in hemp. When ingested in concentrated form, CBD is known to promote balance and tranquility and has been known to alleviate symptoms of anxiety, pain and insomnia. It’s benefits increase with regular use.

Map on cannabis status in U.S. States

U.S. Virgin Islands: published Jan 19: medical cannabis was legalized after the governor signed a long-awaited bill into law. marking a huge coup for marijuana advocates and those who have long championed its medical, economic and agricultural benefits.

Puerto Rico: legalized Medical Marijuana in early 2015, medical dispensaries opened January 2017.

Relaxing CBD Drinks

We compliment exotic flowers, lillies, roses; adorn with ribbons and herbs and multiple, untraditional shapes for the wedding party. Add buds to bouts and bouquets. Cannabis flavors can match your colors, creme brulee instead of brown for example. With lavender, herbs, boutique weddings ~ who isn't going to want to catch that kissing ball toss!

Remember: mark desserts and candies appropriately. If allowing children at special event, you need special placement and monitoring.

Cannabis Tips

Ingesting: body high, dosage, takes about an hour or so.  A body high will intensify over the next 2 hours and typically last about 2-6 hours

Example: So you've started with 5mg, but your delicious truffle is 40 mg. Many edibles, including truffles, are marked for easy division, but that doesn't mean they'll be portioned the way you want them without monitoring OR quantity guests consume.
